Etihad Airways has reintroduced its Airbus A380 service on the Abu Dhabi to Paris route, adding increased capacity and premier inflight experiences for travelers between the UAE and France.
The iconic A380, the largest passenger aircraft in operation, returns with Etihad’s renowned premium offerings. Highlights include The Residence—an exclusive three-room suite—as well as The Lobby, a shared lounge area for First and Business Class passengers on the upper deck, elevating onboard luxury on flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Enhanced Connectivity with Paris and Broader Network Expansion
This A380 service underscores the strong UAE-France relationship, spanning cultural, educational, and business collaborations. Paris holds unique significance within Etihad’s global network, and Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De, noted, “The reintroduction of our A380 on this route reflects both the city’s importance and the growing demand for travel between Abu Dhabi and Paris.”
To support further expansion, Etihad also plans to boost connectivity with double-daily flights across major European cities, including Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Munich, and Zurich. Additional announcements on route enhancements are expected before the close of 2024.
Increased Passenger Capacity and New Aircraft Integration
The reinstated A380 service increases capacity on the Paris route by 31%, featuring 486 seats across three classes: nine First Apartments, 70 Business Studios, and 405 Economy Smart seats, with extra-legroom options. Beginning January 15, 2025, Etihad will also operate the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on this route, configured with First Suites, Business Studios, and Economy Smart seats, further enhancing seating availability and comfort.
Together, the A380 and Dreamliner will offer close to 5,000 seats weekly, enriching connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Paris. This expanded schedule provides travelers more opportunities to explore Abu Dhabi’s attractions, from cultural landmarks to leisure activities in a city known for its year-round sunshine and rich visitor offerings. As a major transit hub, Abu Dhabi International Airport allows seamless travel connections across Etihad’s global network.
Abu Dhabi Stopover Program for Enhanced Travel Experience
Etihad’s Stopover program at Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport gives travelers the chance to extend their layover with up to two complimentary nights at select hotels, offering a firsthand look at Abu Dhabi’s hospitality.
This expanded Paris route exemplifies Etihad’s commitment to connecting global destinations, catering to both leisure and business travelers, and offering enriched travel experiences with every journey.
